Why does an AirPod stop working?
At this point we have to make one thing clear. Of course, we cannot repair the device and cannot guide you on how to do it. An AirPod does not work, in most cases means that it is not being used as intended. We are happy to give you instructions for the most common problems with the setting of your AidPods. This will let you know what to do if a AirPod not working.
The stereo balance is adjusted
If you have adjusted the balance, then in extreme cases you can only adjust the sound to the left or right AirPod. So you could assume that the left AirPod doesn't work, but the right one does. In the settings you can Check how the balance fader is set. For optimal sound, it should always be positioned in the middle between the two headphones.
There was a connection problem
It can never be ruled out that the Bluetooth connection is not working. This can also affect a single pair of AirPods headphones that are not working. If this is actually the problem, then it can be easily fixed. Simply interrupt the Bluetooth connection and then control the AirPods again via Bluetooth after a short moment.
Contamination can be the problem
Before ordering replacements, you should clean the old AirPods thoroughly. In rare cases, this will solve the problem and both headphones will work again. In any case, you should make this small effort.
What to do if an AirPod doesn't work?
If you find that the left AirPod or the right one is not working, you should definitely go through the following steps. In a relatively short amount of time, you can find out if you need a replacement or if there was another problem.
Step 1: Restart your playback device
The problem doesn't necessarily have to be with your AirPods if they no longer work. You can easily test this by restarting your iPhone, iPod or iPad. A new connection will then be established to the AirPods and the problem may be solved.
Step 2: Reset the AirPods

Order replacement AirPods from OneEarPod
If you have followed all of our advice and an AirPod still doesn't work, then you need to get a replacement. - We avoid waste by throwing away non-functional parts.
- You save money because a single pair of headphones costs much less than a set.
