Not sure which AirPods you have? No problem, you can quickly find out which generation of AirPods you have using the model number. There are several ways to find your model number:

In the settings
  1. Directly to the AirPods

1. Find the model number in the settings 

Go to "Settings" and then "Bluetooth". Select [your AirPods]. Now tap the "More info" button next to the AirPods, which is symbolized with a small "i". You will now see the model number of your AirPods. In the list below, you can find out which generation of AirPods you have based on the model number.

A notice: If your device isn't running iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 or later, here's how to find your model number: Go to Settings on your device. Select General. Tap About. Scroll down until you see the name of your AirPods. Tap the name to see more information, including the model number.
