My AirPods are flashing red and won't connect

If your AirPods are flashing red, there could be several reasons. We'll look at the most common case (red flashing and connection doesn't work) first.

Fortunately, the solution is relatively simple. In most cases, red flashing on AirPods signals a pairing error. This is how you can quickly fix the problem:

  1. Unpair your AirPods: Go to “Settings” and then “Bluetooth”. Now go to the i symbol next to your AirPods and tap “Ignore this device”.

  2. Turn off Bluetooth: Next, turn off your iPhone's Bluetooth.

  3. Check the battery level: Next, make sure your AirPods are sufficiently charged. If the battery is too low, problems can arise later.

  4. Reset AirPods to factory settings: Now reset your AirPods. To do this, hold down the button on the back of the charging case for about 15 seconds until the LED light flashes alternately white and yellow.

  5. Create a new connection: Now turn the Bluetooth back on and connect your AirPods to your iPhone. Check whether the connection now works.

If necessary: Request a spare part

If only one of your AirPods is defective, you can purchase a single left or right AirPod in our online shop. This is significantly cheaper than buying a complete AirPod set.

We sell individual AirPods because you can only buy complete bundles from the manufacturer. However, this is not necessary if only one AirPod is defective.

Our individual AirPods are of course originals and come with a guarantee. Because we buy complete sets from the manufacturer and disassemble them into their individual parts, which we then sell separately.
